Opening new accounts for the Amish

There is always something new happening in the EverythingCU.com online discussion. Just when you think every topic relating to credit unions has already been discussed, a new one comes along. Yesterday a credit union marketing professional wanted to know how to open new accounts for Amish people and still be in compliance with identification regulations. You see, Amish people generally don’t have driver’s licenses since they don’t drive, and many don’t have social security numbers either. The truly amazing thing is the generosity of information of the professionals who visit EverythingCU.com. The person requesting the information already has received two suggestions about how to handle the situation, and one of the suggestions comes from another credit union in her state. It’s wonderful to see the credit union spirit of cooperation in action.
