Kingsmill extravaganza

Just finished a wonderful visit to our friends in Virginia and North Carolina. The Virginia Credit Union League’s and North Carolina Credit Union League’s marketing councils have combined their efforts to put on the East Coast Credit Union Marketing Conference. I had the honor of delivering a presentation titled “Once Upon a Brand” that the audience was very receptive to. I even had two attendees introduce themselves to me beforehand to let me know that my presentation was the reason that they came to the event! Wow!

It was great to meet so many of my Virginian friends, and make so many new friends from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and even Pennsylvania. It was especially great to see Elisabeth Bost and Susan Epperson from Henrico FCU just days after seeing them in Baltimore. It was also great to reconnect with Greta Winn, Dawn Lindley, and Diane Reed, and to meet Kelley Parks from Call FCU, Nicole Widell from DuPont Fibers, Jody Rushing from Piedmont Aviation CU, Mark Ely from Hershey FCU, Russell Sumner of BayLands FCU, Todd Lewis from the North Carolina CU League, and Don Graham of the Virginia CU League. What a great group of people assembled here for this conference.

This event is taking place at the Kingsmill Resort and Spa in Williamsburg Virginia, next door to the Anheuser-Busch factory and Busch Gardens. The resort is incredible and truly beautiful. I wish I had time to golf one of the three courses! The courses are so good, the LPGA has a tour stop here. What a wonderful place and a wonderful event. I will treasure the fond memories, and hope to visit again soon!
